BROOKINGS, S.D. — Five different Panthers recorded pinfalls as UNI swept the South Dakota State and North Dakota State 28-13 and 27-11 respectively to open the 2021 wrestling season Sunday at Frost Arena in Brookings, S.D.

Panthers roll South Dakota State 28-13

The Panthers opened the day with a match against South Dakota State. At 125, Brody Teske appeared to be in trouble early when he fell behind to Daniel Vega 8-2, but Teske battled back to take a 10-9 lead before the end of the period. He held on to win 13-11 to put the Panthers up 3-0.

Kyle Biscoglia picked up the biggest upset of the day. Coming in unranked, he faced No. 13 Zach Price. Price led early, but Biscoglia earned a 5-4 lead with a takedown with just over a minute.
